The history of this hotel is deeply tied to the Indelli family’s one. There are traces of them since the XIVth century. The events of this aristocratic lineage were outlined by the historians member of the same dynasty who tried to discern the genealogical tree in order to recognize the origins of this eminent family.
The Indelli, a family strictly tied to Charles V, obtained from the emperor exclusive privileges that lasted into force until the XVIIth century and that allowed them to keep intact their esteem for centuries.
Furthermore they were also connected to the dynasty of Muscettola, an illustrious amalfitan family, and thanks to this relationship the Indelli obtained an additional consideration and appreciation.
After centuries of predominance this lineage disappeared but, however, permitted to Monopoli to place itself in a historic framework of national and international relevance.
